Held in conjunction with the National Audubon Society, this is a day-long project in December which gives everyone a chance to participate in identifying and counting birds at feeders and in the field.  The count area is contained  within a designated circle 15 miles in diameter centered near Jay-K Lumber in New Hartford.  At the end of the day, there is a compilation meeting to list and total the sightings and recall the day's experiences.
